摘要: Background/Aims: Branch-type intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (BT-IPMNs) are a subset of non-inflammatory lesions the pancreas. Selected BT-IPMNs can be managed conservatively by surveillance because their lower malignant potential. This review aims to update reader on advances in our knowledge since consensus guidelines published 2006. Methods: A Pubmed search for was undertaken and relevant papers were reviewed. Results: Due relative scarcity this condition, still little is known about natural history, best method or surgical non-surgical options. Conclusion: national database would enable large enough cohort patients followed up valid conclusions drawn regarding treatment surveillance.
