摘要: INTRODUCTION: The appropriate management of patients with branch-duct intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (BD-IPMN) multiple involvements branch ducts (multifocal BD-IPMN) remains challenging. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Our database affected by IPMN was queried to identify a clinicoradiologic or pathologic diagnosis multifocal BD-IPMN between January 1990 and December 2006. RESULTS: One hundred thirty-one (52 male 79 female; median age 67 years) had histopathologic BD-IPMN. Ten (7.6%) underwent surgery. After follow-up 40 months (range 12 127) all the 121 conservatively managed are alive, none surgery during follow-up. patient invasive carcinoma developed hepatic metastases died disease 88 after COMMENTS: Patients branch-side can be managed, but when multifocality is present may problematic because number lesions evaluated. nonoperative well-selected BD-IPMN, even in setting, seems safe reliable.
