摘要: Abstract A pilot-plant scale study of the adsorptive micellar flocculation (AMF) process is presented for first time, and builds on solid foundation provided by previous fundamental laboratory studies. number experimental tests were conducted to validate feasibility using an AMF pilot rig remove phenol from aqueous effluent streams. Several key factors, including floc settling optimum air flow-rate agitation, flocculant dosage, determined. Residual concentrations in treated water indicated a surfactant removal efficiency 95–98%, pollutant reached 78% two stages operation. strategy separate recycling surfactant, has already been developed. The present thus made further progress developing, testing, validating optimising operating conditions pilot-scale process. As such, it demonstrated scaling up bench-scale commercial, continuously operated unit.
