摘要: One of the most recent innovations in bone augmentation surgery is represented by computer-aided-design/computer-aided-manufacturing (CAD/CAM) customized titanium meshes, which can be used to restore vertical defects before implant-prosthetic rehabilitations. The aim this study was evaluate effectiveness/reliability technique a consecutive series cases. Ten patients need implant therapy were treated using CAD/CAM meshes. A digital workflow adopted design virtual meshes on 3D models. Then, Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) technology produce and ridge performed according an established surgical protocol. Surgical complications, healing gain (VBG), planned volume (PBV), lacking (LBV), regenerated (RBV), average regeneration rate (RR) success evaluated. All augmented sites successfully restored with definitive implant-supported fixed partial dentures. Measurements showed VBG 4.5 ± 1.8 mm at re-entry. complications occurred 30% 10% cases, respectively. Mean values PBV, LBV, RBV 984, 92, 892 mm3, RR achieved 89%. 26 implants function after 1 year follow-up. results suggest that means DMLS custom-made considered reliable effective restoring defects.
