摘要: Abstract The influence of graphite filler additions on two-body abrasive wear behaviour compression moulded carbon–epoxy (C–E) composites have been evaluated using reciprocating unit and pin-on-disc under single pass multi-pass conditions respectively. carbon fabric used in the present study is a plain one; each warp fiber alternately over weft fiber. symmetrical, with good stability reasonable porosity. Abrasive studies were carried out different loads/abrading distance grades SiC paper (150 320 grit size). Graphite C–E reduced specific rate. Further, volume loss drops significantly increase content. Comparative performance all showed higher rate (single-pass conditions) compared to conditions. tribo-performance indicated that inclusion resulted enhancement significantly. Wear mechanisms suggested strongly supported by worn surface morphology scanning electron microscopy.
