摘要: Abstract Current research in the field of tissue engineering utilizes biomaterial scaffolds, cells, and growth factors for creation a functional, biologically active tissue. This study examined effect two commercially available, three-dimensional ultraporous β -tricalcium phosphate ceramics ( -TCP, Vitoss) open-celled poly(lactic acid) foams (OPLA, Drilac), on osteogenic differentiation potential human dermal fibroblasts. Serum-free, chemically-defined medium containing metabolic factor 1 α ,25-dihydroxyvitamin D 3 was used to promote an phenotype these cells. Osteoblast assessed using PCR immunohistochemical methods detect gene protein expression osteoblast markers alkaline phosphatase, osteopontin, osteocalcin. Dermal fibroblasts cultured -TCP scaffolds with vitamin exhibited up-regulated compared cells OPLA scaffolds. These results suggest that Vitoss -TCP) seeded maintained are better suited bone applications than Drilac (OPLA) foams.
