摘要: This study characterised selected peripheral blood (PB) haematological parameters, liver, serum and muscle metabolic features in three- five-year old male female giant kokopu (Galaxias argenteus) broodstock reared indoor at 16°C. Sex age did not affect PB total cell count, haematocrit values. However, higher erythrocytes fish, elevated thrombocyte lymphocyte counts three-year fish indicate age-specific cellular regulation. Higher suggest sex-specific At a level, liver abundance for long chain saturated fatty acids were males, while females had levels of polyunsaturated acids. Essential non-essential amino also compared to males. These findings differential allocation reflect requirements gonadal, development provisioning. Similarly, significantly resulted abundances some olds suggesting metabolism younger fish. Overall, results enhance our understanding sex- age-based differences haematology, muscle, metabolite profiles healthy G. argenteus. Future studies should carefully consider potential age- responses. article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
