摘要: We present new major and trace element, high-precision high-field-strength-element, hafnium neodymium isotope data for well preserved Eoarchean TTGs within the Itsaq Gneiss Complex (IGC) of southern West Greenland. These are combined with thermodynamic model predictions partial melting fractional crystallization to gain insights into continental crust formation in Archean. Our results show that observed compositional range can be explained by a combination two processes: (1) 5-25% amphibolite thickened mafic (2) subsequent processes. The TTG suite SW Greenland probably formed through mixing melt batches originally at different source depths between 10 14 kbar ponded as plutons mid-crustal levels. element compositions some point processes involving plagioclase, clinopyroxene, amphibole garnet. is consistent recent studies proposing from IGC re-working protocrust stabilized accreted juvenile crustal terranes Eoarchean. also good agreement field observations area.
