Optical properties of base dentin ceramics for all-ceramic restorations.

摘要: Abstract Objectives The study was conducted to compare the optical parameters of VM7 ® M-shade base dentin ceramics (VITA, Germany) for all ceramic restorations chemical composition across 3D-MASTER shade system. Methods Three disc samples, 13 mm diameter and 1.4 mm thickness, were produced each following manufacturer's instructions. Each ground polished a thickness 1.0 mm. Spectral light transmittance reflectance data recorded in visible spectrum under standard illuminant D65 2° observer at 10 nm intervals by using computer-controlled spectrophotometer. Opacity, translucency opalescence determined sample. Results (1) short-wavelength range systematically decreased with increasing chroma number (M1, M2, M3) when compared within same value (lightness) group. (2) whole group (3) Analysis relationship between various samples showed significant contribution ZrO 2 Y O 3 substances properties present material. Significance Systematic variations observed throughout system suggested be caused fine structure sample which can interfere shorter wavelengths spectrum.
