摘要: Summary Objectives Opalescence is an optical property, where there light scattering of the shorter wavelengths visible spectrum, giving material a bluish appearance under reflected and orange/brown transmitted light. The objective this study was to determine opalescence resin composites with color measuring spectrophotometer. Methods Colors A2 enamel or translucent shades four unfilled measured in reflectance transmittance modes were compared, parameter (OP) calculated as difference blue-yellow coordinate (Δ b *) red-green between colors 1-mm thick specimens. masking effect black background specimen over background. Results range OP 5.7–23.7, which higher than that resin. However, significant differences among brands composites. Significance varied by brand shade composites, contributed along translucency parameter. Some actually displayed opalescence.
