摘要: THE identification in brain of opiate receptors1 and morphine-like pentapeptides (methionine-enkephalin leucine-enkephalin)2 has led to suggestions that enkephalin receptors may be sites at which drugs induce analgesia euphoria, the enkephalins themselves transmitters or modulators systems for regulation pain pleasure3–6. Observations animals reveal appropriate central administration produces analgesia7–9 physical dependence10. We report here also share euphorigenic rewarding properties morphine rats will work injections delivered directly into ventricles their own brains11. Of particular interest, light generally superior potency methionine peptide2,8,9, is observation leucine-enkephalin self-administered with greater avidity than methionine-enkephalin.
