摘要: In this paper I give my personal perspective on the development of a field theory large-scale brain activity. review early work by Pitts, Wiener, Beurle and others, an account mean-field Wilson-Cowan equations. then outline reasons for trying to develop stochastic version these equations, recall steps leading discovery that one can use van Kampen system-size expansion neural master equation obtain describe how led there is directed percolation phase transition in activity, equations provide insight into many aspects such as generation fluctuation-driven avalanches oscillations.
