Teaching participatory research through reflexivity and relationship Reflections on an international collaborative curriculum project between the Society for Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) and the University of Victoria (UVic)

摘要: In early 2005, the Society for Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA) and University of Victoria's (UVic) Faculty Education began collaborating on a project to teach participatory research (PR) via distance education. Written by two course instructors from PRIA UVic, this article documents successes challenges international collaborative project. We argue that figuring out how live communicate values PR teaching is equal meeting content goals, integral struggle itself. Just as our partnership bridges university community-based institutions Majority Minority Worlds, so too are these differences reflected history learner composition classrooms. As such, we believe theory, practice, advanced through example personal ongoing commitment reflexivity relationship.
