摘要: Smallholder potato farmers in Uganda face many production and marketing challenges including limited access to markets and low surpluses for sale into the market. This study sought underscore the factors that influence smallholder farmers’ decision participate the potato market level of participation such markets. Data were collected from 200 Kabale Mbale districts. Descriptive statistics a two-stage Heckman model used analyse data. Results indicated proximity village positively significantly (p ≤ 0.05) influenced Results the second stage indicated non-farm income earned negatively and significantly ≤ 0.01) affected farmer’s market participation.
