摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes the basics of magneto–optical trap recoil ion momentum spectroscopy (MOTRIMS) methodology and demonstrates its utility using basic measurements. The how MOTRIMS can be been used to extract electron transfer cross sections that are differential in projectile charge energy, scattering angle, initial final states target, state projectile. It shows how, once some these relative have measured, results turned around measure temporally spatially averaged population distributions target species. measurement is generalized allow dynamics target. In principle, technique case collisions. A very promising experiment along lines presently being prepared by Ott coworkers Mainz. aim reconstruct spatial correlations atoms ultracold quantum gases. To achieve this goal was ionized a focussed beam scanned across trapped atomic cloud. With at given position local density even temporal measured. As compared with optical methods, significantly higher resolution as good about 100 nm obtained way. point out an lattice single sites addressed, which might interesting aspect for information processing.
