摘要: We demonstrate a method for the deterministic production of single ions by exploiting correlation between an electron and associated ion following ionization. Coincident detection feedback in combination with Coulomb-driven particle selection allows high-fidelity heralding at high repetition rate. Extension scheme beyond time-correlated to position- momentum-correlated will provide general powerful means optimize beam brightness development next-generation focused technologies.
