Snail induction of epithelial to mesenchymal transition in tumor cells is accompanied by MUC1 repression and ZEB1 expression.

摘要: E-cadherin protein plays a key role in the establishment and maintenance of adherent junctions. Recent evidence implicates transcription factor Snail blockage expression fibroblasts some epithelial tumor cells through direct binding to three E-boxes promoter. Transfection into leads more fibroblastic phenotype. Cells expressing presented scattered flattened phenotype with low intercellular contacts. Other markers like Cytokeratin 18 or MUC1 were also repressed. The effects on mediated by two present proximal induced mesenchymal fibronectin LEF1 repressor ZEB1. ZEB1 had similar pattern cell lines, both overexpression ILK1, kinase that causes loss acquisition several lines raised RNA levels increased activity could repress promoters but less strongly than Snail.
