摘要: In this work, three possible applications of the phenomenon electrochemical promotion catalysis (EPOC) are demonstrated for methanol conversion processes: enhancement catalytic activity, modification selectivity and partial oxidation catalyst. For that purpose, a Ni catalyst film prepared via physical vapour deposition technique was electrochemically promoted by K+ in different reactions hydrogen production. Under decomposition steam reforming conditions, application certain negative overpotentials subsequent back-spillover promoter ions led to an increase activity through electrophilic EPOC behaviour. On other hand, under caused decrease toward H2 CO while they favoured CO2 H2CO. This effect explained state due O2 activation induced ions, as shown post-reaction X-ray diffraction analysis. All potassium-induced effects were reversible between positive polarizations. shows possibilities phenomena on nickel catalysts heterogeneous catalysis. Specifically, situ would be interesting on-board production processes, where attenuation deactivation control metal also play key role.
