Covalent insulator CeO2: Optical reflectivity measurements.

摘要: The optical reflectivity of ${\mathrm{CeO}}_{2}$ single crystals has been measured from 1 meV to 12 eV at 300 K and then analyzed in terms a Kramers-Kronig transformation. Static optic dielectric constants, TO- LO-phonon frequencies, the effective charge, degree covalency have obtained. It can be asserted that is not intermediate valence but it covalent insulator.
