摘要: Chronic viral hepatitis infections are a major public health concern, with an estimated 290 million individuals infected B virus (HBV) globally. This has been passenger in human populations for 30,000 years, and remains highly prevalent some settings. In order this endemic pathogen to persist, adaptation host immune responses is pre-requisite. Here we focus on the interplay between HBV infection CD8+ T cell response. We present evidence that cells play important role control of chronic selective pressure imposed through evasion these can potentially influence diversity, chronicity, outcome infection. Understanding nature mechanisms evolution persistence could shed light differential disease outcomes, including cirrhosis hepatocellular carcinoma, help reach goal global elimination by guiding design new strategies, vaccines therapeutics.
