摘要: Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells are characterized by a semi-invariant TCR that recognizes vitamin B metabolite Ags presented the MHC-related molecule MR1. Their Ag restriction determines unique developmental lineage, imbuing tissue-homing, preprimed phenotype with antimicrobial function. A growing body of literature indicates MR1-restricted more diverse than MAIT term implies. Namely, it is increasingly clear α- and β-chain diversity within repertoire provides potential mechanism discrimination, context-dependent functional variation suggests role for in physiological settings. In this paper, we summarize cell biology, an emphasis on diversity, heterogeneity.
