摘要: pH variation in sewers has a significant effect on hydrogen sulfide production and emissions, hence its accurate prediction is critical for the optimization of mitigation strategies. In this study, nature dynamics sewer system examined. Three systems collecting domestic wastewater were monitored, with all cases showing large diurnal variations. fresh sewage three had very similar trend maximum range 8.5-8.7. followed same pattern as flow rate, suggesting that influenced by household water use. Nitrogen content was found to be most influential factor causing sewage, total ammonium concentration well correlated variation. A methodology predicting developed calibration protocols proposed. The methodology, which based concept charge balance, validated using titration curves field data. Measurement necessary adequate balance-based model.
