摘要: Abiotic and biotic oxidation of hydrogen sulfide related to concrete corrosion was studied in products originating from a sewer manhole. The were suspended an acidic solution, mimicking the conditions pore water corroded concrete. removal dissolved oxygen measured parallel suspension, upon which suspension sterilized measurement repeated. results revealed be fast compared with abiotic oxidation. stoichiometry evaluated using ratio between uptake. for pointed direction elemental sulfur being formed as intermediate sulfuric acid. experimental applied suggest hypothesis mathematical model describing pathway matrix
