摘要: Conversion of hydrogen sulphide (H2S) by the bacterium Thiobacillus thiooxidans to sulphur or sulphate was demonstrated in a continuous column contacter using countercurrent flow gas and liquid medium. The initial conversion much faster than subsequent oxidation sulphate, allowing for removal elemental sulphur. rate H2S increased with available surface area bed time. number bacteria very slowly time, placing great importance on concentration column.
