摘要: Recent studies have shown that vitamin B6 modulates transcriptional activation by the human glucocorticoid receptor in HeLa S3 cells. We now examined possibility might similarly influence other cell types, as well gene expression mediated members of steroid hormone superfamily. show elevated concentrations suppress 40-65% level transcription through endogenous murine L receptor, transfected into E8.2 and T47D In contrast, receptor-mediated was enhanced 60-110% mild deficiency. The hormone-independent constitutive not affected these same alterations concentration. These indicated modulatory effects were neither restricted to specific types nor limited form receptor. next determined if hormone-induced several receptors (androgen, progesterone, estrogen receptors) analogously Analysis mouse mammary tumor virus promoter revealed both androgen progesterone reduced 35-40% under conditions 60-90% deficiency, again where unaffected. Using a different promoter, estrogen-regulated vitellogenin we found affected. Estrogen-induced 30% intracellular 85% Thus, multiple classes receptors. similarities on promoters, suggest this may modulate diverse array hormonally responsive genes. observations together support hypothesis represents physiological modulator action.
