摘要: There is general agreement that the Reference Intake of vitamin B6 should be calculated on basis l5–16µg /gram protein intake. However, this figure derived from a very limited number depletion / repletion studies, small subjects, and cannot considered to reliable reflection requirements. Studies turnover whole body have so far failed give useful information requirements replace metabolic losses. Clinical deficiency in adults unknown, dietary surveys suggest average intakes are more than adequate. Nevertheless, significant proportion population show biochemical evidence inadequacy. In view role pyridoxal phosphate modulating actions steroid hormones, there clear need for further studies establish firmly present estimates.
