摘要: A technique is described for the measurement of mean pore size in ceramics by wicking. Pore derived from measured rates capillary rise several apolar, low-energy liquids known surface tension through thin slices porous materials, via Washburn equation. The use assures that contact angle θ=0° (and cos θ= 1) so radius, R, only unknown Fore-size data are presented two colloidal gel compositions with engineered pore-size distributions. diameters obtained wicking found to be smaller than those afforded merciury porosimetry a factor ∼2.
