摘要: A number of media reports appeared on the shortages professional health workers in public sector. Unsatisfactory working conditions facilities were mentioned as one key aspects responsible for shortages. Literature indicates that stress caused by unsatisfactory work environments may play a major role employees' decision to resign their jobs, spite enjoying nature work. The aim this article is explore current human resource situation nursing i.e. determine if shortage skills exists, establish challenges nurses have face performing duties and potential effect environment attrition. Currently 155 484 are practicing South Africa at rate 343 per 100 000 population, which compares favourably with World Health Organisation minimum 200:100 000. lack reliable data supply demand makes it difficult whether real exist. However services influenced uneven distribution across regions outflow skills. It seems existing will deteriorate because fewer people interested taking up or pursuing career Africa. At same time need more was identified growth population well change care needs. Workplace employed hospitals clinics explored part recent national study impact HIV/AIDS workers' opinions such workload, staff morale hours obtained during personal interviews, conducted 222 facilities.
