Clinician perceptions and patient experiences of antiretroviral treatment integration in primary health care clinics, Tshwane, South Africa.

摘要: Background: Primary Health Care (PHC) clinicians and patients are major role players in the South African antiretroviral treatment programme. Understanding their perceptions experiences of integrated care management people living with HIV AIDS PHC facilities is necessary for successful implementation sustainability integration. Objective: This study explored clinician patient integration clinics. Method: An exploratory, qualitative was conducted four city Tshwane facilities. Two urban two rural following different models were included. A self-administered questionnaire open-ended items completed by 35 focus group interviews HIV-positive patients. The data coded categories grouped into sub-themes themes. Results: Workload, staff development support affected clinicians’ performance viewpoints. They perceived promotion privacy, reduced discrimination increased access to comprehensive as benefits service Delays, poor dissatisfaction viewed negative aspects In three satisfied or semi-integration felt common queues prevented stigma discrimination, whilst reverse true facility separate services. Single-month issuance drugs clinic schedule organisation negatively, well attitudes, communication long waiting times. Conclusion: Although a fully model preferable, that need further attention from health authorities facilities, improved working conditions appropriate opportunities.
