摘要: Abstract Performance of metallic targets under ballistic impact loading is presented. The entire event considering target performance can be divided into dynamic plastic penetration, spherical bulge formation, advancement, plug formation and exit projectile exit. Velocity, displacement, force, deceleration the energy absorbed by as a function time are evaluated. Typical experiment studies were carried out on test apparatus up to incident kinetic 85 J. A very good correlation was observed between analytical predictions experimental observations in terms limit velocity absorbing mechanisms. significant observation that with two different thicknesses give same all other conditions remaining same. This behavior explained based prominent mechanisms thicknesses.
