摘要: Residual stress is an important factor in thermally sprayed deposits which affects both processing and performance. High magnitudes and/or concentrations can undermine the structural integrity of parts impair their functionality. Therefore, it to know state, understand its generation be able control it. Results experimental determination plasma are presented. Neutron diffraction as a non-destructive phase-distinctive measurement method was used determine residual profiles thick NiCrAlY yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) deposits. Measurements were complemented with calculations based on experimentally determined material properties, allowed for separation quenching thermal contributions final stress. Since application neutron relatively novel, certain verification measurements performed. Specimens prepared at two different deposition temperatures, effect temperature stresses relevant deposit properties.
