摘要: The phenomena connected with the first phase transition step of native T7 phage at 40‡C–65‡ C have been studied using various methods. In this temperature range a) optical melting curve shows an absorption decrease, b) maximum small-angle X-ray scattering characteristic for DNA packing disappears, c) there is a drop biological activity and d) are changes in structure difference spectra phages versus isolated DNA. All data interpreted assuming structural change due to release its protein coat towards end (at 60‡–65‡ case M9 buffer). Above intraphage appears be destroyed seems similar that solution.
