摘要: The photocatalytic degradation of sulfacetamide, sulfathiazole, sulfamethoxazole and sulfadiazine in water solutions during their illumination UV radiation (lambda(max) 366 nm) with TiO2 catalyst was examined. growth-inhibition effect sulfonamides intermediate products theirs photodegradation investigated aqueous solution the green alga Chlorella vulgaris. biodegradability compounds determined illuminated is expressed as Biochemical Oxygen Demand. It found that all initial were resistant to biodegradation toxic relative C. toxicity (EC50 values) vulgaris increased following order sulfamethoxazole, sulfadiazine. All undergo degradation. significantly lower than dependent on time rate. photocatalysis contrast sulfonamides, might be mineralized using biological methods.
