摘要: CUTANEOUS leishmaniasis is of special interest at this time because its occurrence in troops stationed endemic zones and it must be considered the differential diagnosis ulcerated cutaneous lesions seen so frequently tropical areas. With return demobilization soldiers, physicians should especially alert for presence or possible recurrence such diseases acquired during service. Two principal types are described: (a) that Old World, called oriental sore Delhi boil, (b) New American leishmaniasis. Both produce chronic granulomatous diagnosed by demonstrating Leishmania organisms smears histologic sections. The boil has usually been described as a relatively benign self-limited disease, importance chiefly scars produced on face other exposed parts body. On
