摘要: Different recommendations exist world-wide on which – if any - pressure head should be used in laboratory measurements to approximate the ‘field capacity’ (FC) of soil. Literature often deems such heads inadequate FC for soils all textures. We a data collection from literature evaluate corrections can made improve estimation -33 kPa water retention (W33). Regression tree modeling coupled with jack-knife cross validation was identify best predictors sand, silt, clay and measured W33 value estimate difference between FC. Such predictions were then successfully adjust as An improvement estimating seen general statistical terms, texture specific bias also greatly reduced. solution may allow reliable use single FC, only feasible option large scale studies.
