摘要: Theoretical consideration is given to the effect of cosolutes (including buffer and electrolyte components) on determination second virial coefficients for proteins by small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS)—a factor overlooked in current analyses terms expressions a two-component system. A potential deficiency existing practices illustrated reassessment published results polyethylene glycol concentration coefficient urate oxidase. This error reflects substitution I(0,c3,0), intensity limit zero angle solute concentration, I(0,0,0), corresponding parameter cosolute (c3) as well. Published static light dependence apparent molecular weight ovalbumin are extrapolated obtain true value (M2) thereby establish feasibility obtaining analogous SAXS parameter, experimentally.
