摘要: Red emission intensity was optimized in three stages, by investigating the effects of: (i) host composition (Gd, Y and Gd/Y), (ii) codoping Li+ as a sensitizer and, finally, (iii) with SiO2 shell coating protecting layer. Lanthanide vanadate powder phosphors were synthesized using modified colloidal precipitation technique. The of on phosphor particles characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM)-EDAX, transmission (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) photoluminescence (PL) measurements. An improvement PL Li due to improved crystallinity, which led higher oscillating strengths for optical transitions, also lowering inversion symmetry Eu3+ ions. 5D0 5D2 transition Y0.94VO4:Eu3+0.05,Li+0.01 enhanced 22.28% compared Y0.95VO4:Eu3+0.05, further 58.73% coating. luminescence (I) colour coordinates (x, y) Y0.94VO4:Eu3+0.05,Li+0.01@SiO2, where I = 13.07 cd/m2 (x = 0.6721, y = 0.3240), values commercial red (Y2O2S:Eu3+), I = 27 cd/m2 (x = 0.6522, y = 0.3437). measured are superior those phosphor, moreover, match well standard NTSC (x = 0.67, y = 0.33).
