摘要: A new vagrant eriophyoid mite species of the archaic genus Pentasetacus (Schliesske 1985), P. novozelandicusn. sp., is described with aid conventional microscopy, confocal laser scanning microscopy and electron microscopy. It was found on Araucaria heterophylla, which an araucarian that endemic to Norfolk Island introduced New Zealand. Partial sequences mitochondrial barcode COI gene D1–D2 domains nuclear rDNA two pentasetacid mites, araucariae (MK903025 MK898944) sp. (MK903024 MK898943) are provided. Molecular phylogenetic analyses full-length sequences, including GenBank newly generated pentasetacids, confirmed monophyly Pentasetacidae but failed resolve basal phylogeny Eriophyoidea. This may be because 28S hypervariable in Moreover, pentasetacids about 20% shorter than other eriophyoids, thus harder align. Two types anal lobes Eriophyoidea: (1) Eriophyidae s.l. Phytoptidae have bilaterally symmetric lobes; (2) non-divided lobes. The presence secretory apparatus, comprising internal structures previously been s.l., genera. also discussed context paleobiography Araucariaceae.
