摘要: Thyroid diseases are common in women of childbearing age and it is well known that untreated thyroid disturbances result an increased rate adverse events, particularly miscarriage, preterm birth gestational hypertension. Furthermore, autoimmunity per se seems to be associated with complications such as miscarriage delivery. While strong evidence clearly demonstrates overt dysfunctions (hyper- or hypothyroidism) have deleterious effects on pregnancy, subclinical disease, namely hypothyroidism, has still conclusively defined a risk factor for outcomes. Additionally, other conditions, isolated hypothyroxinemia euthyroidism, clouded uncertainty regarding the need substitutive treatment.
