The Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview Short Form (ZBI-12) in spouses of Veterans with Chronic Spinal Cord Injury, Validity and Reliability of the Persian Version.

摘要: Background:  To test the psychometric properties of Persian version Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI-12) in Iranian opulation.  Methods: After translating and cultural adaptation questionnaire into Persian, 100 caregiver spouses Iran-Iraq war (1980-88) veterans with chronic spinal cord injury who live city Mashhad, Iran, invited to participate in study. The ZBI-12 accompanied SF-36 was completed by caregivers to test validity ZBI-12.A Pearson`s correlation coefficient calculated for testing.In order assess reliability ZBI-12, we administered randomly 48 again 3 days later. Results:  Generally, internal consistency found be strong (Cronbach’s alpha 0.77). Intercorrelationmatrix between different domains at test-retest 0.78. results revealed that majority of questions ZBI_12 have a significant each other. In terms validity, our showed there is correlations some Short Form Health Survey -36 such as Q1 Role Physical (P=0.03),General (P=0.034),Social Functional (0.037), Mental (0.023) Q3 Function (P=0.001),Viltality (0.002), Socil (0.001).  Conclusions:  Our findings suggest both valid reliable instrument measuring burden individuals injury.
