摘要: ABSTRACT Genome-wide association testing facilitates the identification of genetic variants associated with complex traits. Mapping genes that promote resistance to mastitis could reduce cost antibiotic use and enhance animal welfare milk production by improving outcomes breeding for udder health. Using imputed whole-genome sequence variants, we carried out studies 2 traits related health, index, milking speed in Nordic Holstein cattle. A total 4,921 bulls genotyped BovineSNP50 BeadChip array were high-density genotypes (Illumina BovineHD BeadChip, Illumina, San Diego, CA) and, subsequently, variants. An analysis was using a linear mixed model. Phenotypes used analyses deregressed values. Multitrait meta-analysis these We identified 10 8 chromosomes harboring markers significantly index speed, respectively. Strongest signals observed on chromosome 20 19 speed. 13 combination The region overlapped earlier reported quantitative trait loci similar other cattle populations. Moreover, this located close FYB gene, which is involved platelet activation controls IL-2 expression; strong candidate gene health worthy further investigation.
