摘要: Trichosporon species are emerging as opportunistic agents that cause systemic diseases in immunocompromised patients. Patients undergoing bone marrow transplant submitted to intense and prolonged periods of neutropenia consequently several risk factors fungal infections the use broad spectrum antibiotics invsive devices. Two cases infecitons caused by asahii var. T. inkin patients with described was responsible for fungemia identification this microorganism later performed. vascular accesses infection recovered from an implanted Hickman-Broviac catheter. Both were under oral fluconazole prophylaxis. The patient died despite therapy amphotericin B catheter-related after catheter removal. Difficulties lead delays treatment post-mortem diagnosis.
