摘要: BACKGROUND Currently, limited mouse models that mimic the clinical course of castrate resistant prostate development currently exist. Such are urgently required to conduct pre-clinical studies assist in understanding disease progression and rational therapeutic strategies treat cancer. METHODS Wild type intact FVB male mice were injected by subcutaneous injection with Myc-CaP cells establish androgen sensitive tumors. Tumor bearing castrated resulting tumors serially passaged pre-castrated produce a bone fide tumor. RESULTS Immunohistochemical analysis revealed initial had strong nuclear transcriptional active receptor expression, as indicated marked c-MYC staining highly proliferative. Castration tumor animals resulted cytoplasmic relocation concurrent loss activity proliferation. Serial passaging refractory bona which pheno-copied original parental tumor. CONCLUSIONS Developing murine transplant model mimics human cancer will create better opportunities understand also allow for more rapid stratify novel therapies this lethal form cancer.
