摘要: Abstract Base line mutagenic activity in a section of the Sheep River, Alberta, was investigated using Ames' Salmonella /mammalian microsomal assay system. Low levels were observed water and benthic macroinvertebrate samples, especially from site at which chlorinated sewage effluent discharged. These results are discussed with respect to potential harmful effects chlorination.
