摘要: Abstract A study of the effects different XAD-resins, bed volume, flow rate, pH and type eluent on extraction organic mutagens from surface water is presented. XAD-4/8 as effective XAD-2 in concentrating dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) efficient acetone eluting adsorbed mutagens. The latter allows direct testing up to 0.5 ml DMSO concentrate Ames test. Variation after passing XAD-4/8, followed by readsorption, shows that majority mutagenic activity due dissolved organics at neutral pH. Only a minor fraction readsorbed 3. Further similar prepared freeze drying gives activity. This indicates many are recovered concentrate. It concluded adsorption eluates test, presents rapid relatively simple way detect low concentrations water. general suitability method shown for types
