摘要: Causation of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is not well understood. It necessary to look beyond neuropathology identify the underlying causes AD and many other common neurological diseases. Lipid abnormalities are documented in preclinical phases diseases including AD. Here, we use as an example examine role lipid cause neurodegeneration. Role lipids, particularly phospholipids, optimal function nervous system, impact aberrations phospholipid metabolism on β-amyloid deposition cholinergic neuronal function, epidemiological evidence association phospholipids with AD, preliminary data possible modulation risk factors by examined. Implications these findings diagnosis prevention also discussed.
