摘要: The objective of this study was to examine the effects on stability slope debris planned excavations around vicinity Gumushane Imam-Hatip High School in NE Turkey. To assess geotechnical properties along determined cross-sections, four exploration boreholes with a total length 100 m were drilled and undisturbed soil samples collected. Slope is composed two zones its depth varies between 15 m 21 m. It from experimental results that class upper zone CL (low plasticity clay) CH (high whereas lower SC (clayey sand) GC gravel). Peak cohesions 26.3 kPa 10.2 kPa, their peak internal friction angles 16° 24°, respectively. Limit equilibrium (LE) analyses for slopes evaluated using Slide v5.0 software pre-excavation, post-excavation, supported cases. LE showed existence landslide SW direction; would extend cover whole region if excavation be performed without applying engineering measures. Finally, precautions taken case evaluated. These active lateral forces applied by proposed retaining walls cut should 8325 3103 kN,
