摘要: Quorum sensing inhibitors (QSIs) are promising alternatives to antibiotics, but they discharged into the environment after their use cycle. This poses joint effects on organisms in environment. Therefore, it is of great importance study combined toxicities QSIs and antibiotics. In this study, we investigated single four potential 11 sulfonamides (SAs) Escherichia coli. The results revealed that SAs were greater than those QSIs, found positively related binding energies (Ebind) with target proteins, for both antibiotics QSIs. binary mixtures observed be either antagonism or addition. could explained by phenomenon changed molecules ionic forms, preventing SA entering bacteria. Furthermore, was ratios effective concentration (the actual involved interaction proteins) antagonistic cases higher additive cases. would benefit rational drug combination ecological risk assessment real
