摘要: Cryptosporidium is an enteric parasite that transmitted via the faecal-oral route, water and food. Humans, wildlife domestic livestock all potentially contribute to surface waters. Human encroachment into natural ecosystems has led increase in interactions between humans, animals populations. Increasing numbers of zoonotic diseases spill over/back pathogens a consequence this anthropogenic disturbance. Drinking catchments reservoir areas have been at front line conflict as they can be easily contaminated by waterborne pathogens. Therefore, epidemiology species free-ranging captive increasing importance. This review focuses on reported global populations date, highlights their significance for public health industry.
