摘要: Due to their different mass and varying charge states, heavy solar ions provide invaluable information on the physical mechanisms responsible for heating of corona wind acceleration. It is shown in present work that some key characteristics observed are straightforward features predicted by velocity filtration effect. This mechanism originally proposed Scudder (1992a,b) accounts just assuming distribution functions have enhanced supra-thermal tails. The apparent `heating' then a natural consequence increasing ratio supra thermal over particles as function altitude. Applied minor ions, it offers explanation high temperatures compared protons. kinetic theory predicts more than proportional with small correction state. With sufficiently temperatures, flow faster These good agreement most recent spectroscopic in-situ observations.
